Cost Saving Benefits for Military Homebuyers
The Iowa Veterans Housing Grant Program is offering up to a $5,000 grant for any eligible veteran purchasing a home. To be eligible, a veteran must have served 90 days of active duty since September 11, 2001 (training does not count).

The Homebuyer Tax Credit has been extended for the military! Eligible military personnel now have until April 30, 2011, to make a binding contract on a home and still receive an $8,000 tax credit as a first time homebuyer. Deadlines for repeat homebuyers has been extended as well, offering $6,500 in tax credits.
